Mumbai: The Maharashtra government appointed senior IAS officer Indurani Jakhar as the new District Collector of Palghar. An official order issued by the state administration has directed her to take charge immediately. Jakhar previously served as the Commissioner of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation before her transfer to Palghar.

This move is part of an ongoing reshuffle of senior IAS officers in Maharashtra. Jakhar has been appointed following the retirement of former Palghar District Collector Govind Bodke.
