The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has instructed telecom companies to inform users about network coverage in their area. This instruction has been effective from 1 October 2024 under the revised Quality of Service (QOS) rules.
The purpose of this is that any person can check before taking a new SIM or before porting a mobile number, which company’s network is best in that area. The three companies have now started providing this facility to their customers.
