Sri Lanka and the Netherlands became the final two teams for the World Cup through qualifier matches played for the World Cup hosted by Zimbabwe. The Netherlands sealed their place with a 4-wicket win over Scotland on Thursday (July 6), while Sri Lanka qualified last week. Now 10 teams India, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, England, New Zealand, Afgh.stan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Netherlands have joined the tournament. In this, 8 teams qualified directly and the remaining 2 teams came through qualifier matches.
Team India has to play qualifier teams on 2 and 11 November. Now on November 2, Team India will compete with Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After this, on November 11, the Indian team will play against the Netherlands at M Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru. On the other hand, the Men in Blue will play their first match in the World Cup against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.

Team India out of World Cup semi-finals after 2011
The Indian team last won the ODI World Cup title in 2011 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The final match of the 2011 World Cup was played against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After this, Team India had to be eliminated from the semi-finals in 2015 and 2019 World Cups.
