CBSE Result 2025 Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 board exams from February 15 to March 18, 2025, while the Class 12 board exams are scheduled from February 15 to April 4, 2025. According to the FAQs released by CBSE, the Controller of Examinations said that the Class 12 exams will conclude on April 4, 2025. Following this, exams will be held for students who have participated in national and international sports. The evaluation process for the board exams will begin only after the completion of all exams.

CBSE Class 10 Passing Marks:

– Students must secure 33 per cent marks in total, combining both theory and internal assessment.

CBSE Class 12 Passing Marks:

– Students must secure 33 per cent marks separately in both theory and practical examinations.

Does CBSE provide grace marks?

CBSE board examinations are designed to assess the knowledge students have gained throughout the academic year. Students are declared pass if they secure 33 per cent marks. If a student falls short by just 1 mark or so, the Board may consider awarding grace mark(s) to help the student pass, as mentioned in the CBSE FAQ.

CBSE Schemes for Improvement of Performance in Class 10 & 12:

Class 10:

– A student who has appeared for the Class 10 Main Board Examination (February-March) and wishes to improve their performance can appear in up to 2 subjects by taking the CBSE Supplementary Examination in July, after the declaration of the main examination results.

Class 12:

– A student who has appeared for the Class 12 Main Board Examination (February-March) and wishes to improve their performance can appear in up to 1 subject by taking the Supplementary Examination in July, after the declaration of the main examination results.

Multiple Subject Improvement:

– Students are permitted to take as many subjects as they like in the following year’s Main Examination if they want to enhance their performance in more than two Class 10 subjects or more than one Class 12 subject.
