Income tax office will also be open

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued instructions under Section 119 of the Income Tax Act that all income tax offices will be open on 31 March. Today is the last date for filing income tax returns and depositing outstanding tax, so these offices have not been closed for the convenience of taxpayers.

Insurance companies’ offices also opened

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has directed to keep the offices of all insurance companies open on 29, 30 and 31 March. Under this, LIC has also announced to keep all its regional and divisional offices open today.

Stock market will be closed

On March 31, the major stock markets of the country will be closed on the occasion of Eid. According to information released by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), there will be no trading in equity, derivatives and all other segments today.
