US President Donald Trump has told his cabinet that his billionaire advisor Alan Musk is not the ‘president’ of his departments and has no right to expel federal employees. Politico on Thursday quoted the sources as saying. According to the report, the Republican leader also said that the president of Tesla only has the right to advise the departments, but he does not have the right to take unilateral decisions on workers and policies. According to a report by Politico, Alan Musk agreed to the instruction and was present in the meeting.

According to the report, Elon Musk also admitted his mistake of accidentally canceling the Ebola Prevention Nidhi during Trump’s first cabinet meeting last week. The development is related to Musk and his newly formed Government Efficiency Department (DOGE). Which is working on measures to cut cost including pruning of federal employees. However, Allen Musk himself did not fired government employees from his job. They have no legal right to do so, but Doge’s efforts have been trimmed and resigned in important organizations.

According to the report, more than 20,000 employees have been fired. While 75,000 have voluntarily accepted the proposal to quit the job. This retrenchment has mainly affected the employees who were in probation. They receive low civil service security. This makes it easier to remove them. Many agencies have been affected by this retrenchment. This includes Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of Energy, Veteran Affairs Department of the United States and others.

Politico wrote that the President’s message is the first important step towards limiting the scope of Elon Musk. According to Trump’s new order, DOGE and its employee will play the role of advisor, but the final decision will be taken by the cabinet secretaries.
