As IT and other companies have resumed hybrid and work-from-office modules, the demand for coworking spaces has increased in Pune. Now, in good news for techies and people working from home in the city, WeWork India has rented office space in Pune to expand its business and cater to the rising demand for managed flexible workspaces.
In a statement on Wednesday, WeWork India said it has signed a lease for major office spaces in the city.
This new space is located in Kharadi, covering 84,000 sq. ft. in Pune from GERA Holdings and K Raheja Corp. at ‘GERA Commerzone’, and will have 1,300 desks.

“Pune’s dynamic commercial ecosystem offers tremendous opportunities for enterprises and SMBs alike,” Arnav S Gusain, Chief of Supply at WeWork India, said.
WeWork India is currently operational across eight cities, with over 1 lakh desks. It offers solutions for all kinds of businesses – from solopreneurs to startups to Fortune 500 companies.
The coworking spaces in the city are growing day by day, with major players like Awfis and WeWork expanding, while small cafes and small setups are also coming up in several areas to cater to techies working in the area.
