Mumbai: To cater to the increased travel demand during the summer vacation, Western Railway (WR) has announced the operation of 930 trips of 29 pairs of Summer Special trains to various destinations across the country.
Key Highlights:
– Number of Trips: 930 trips of 29 pairs of Summer Special trains
– Destinations: Trains to cater to Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Telangana, and Karnataka
– Special Trains from Mumbai: 12 pairs of special trains with 148 trips
– Trains from Udhna (Surat): 6 pairs of originating special trains with 192 trips
– Additional Coaches: Almost 300 General Second Class coaches added to special trains.
These Summer Special trains aim to provide convenient travel options for passengers, especially migrant workers, during the peak summer season. Western Railway will continue to monitor the waiting list and augment additional coaches as needed.
