Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company has achieved a record revenue collection of Rs 12,958 crore for the financial year 2024-25, marking the highest revenue figure in the company’s history.

Energy minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar lauded the company’s personnel for the achievement and expressed gratitude to consumers for their timely bill payments.

West Discom managing director Anoop Kumar Singh attributed the success to a sustained effort to recover outstanding dues. “In March, we conducted a mega campaign reaching out to all old defaulting consumers. As a result, we successfully collected outstanding dues from more than 28 lakh electricity consumers”, he said.

The West Discom’s strategic approach in March led to the collection of Rs 1,866 crore in a single month, contributing significantly to the total annual revenue.

Singh said that the achievement was made possible due to the collective efforts of both employees and consumers. “The record revenue collection is the result of the dedication of thousands of employees and the cooperation of domestic, non-domestic, agricultural, industrial, commercial and government consumers who paid their bills on time”, he added.

Singh extended his gratitude to all contributing consumers and the officials responsible for depositing government dues.
