Kolkata: Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday warned of resistance if anyone tries to create any hindrance during Ram Navami processions across West Bengal.
Talking to the media, Adhikari said that those who will support Hindus will rule West Bengal.
“Attempt to crush Ram Navami rallies will not be tolerated just for appeasement for one particular community by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Hindus will reign Hindustan and those who will work in favor of Hindus will rule West Bengal. Condition of West Bengal will be like Bangladesh if Mamata Banerjee is not removed from power. Her days are numbered as Chief Minister of the state,” said Adhikari.
Adhikari also urged people not to fall in the ‘trap’ of police and fill any new form for taking out processions.
Notably, a couple of days back the Leader of Opposition stated that at least 2000 procession of Ram Navami will be taken out across the state and at least one crore Hindus will celebrate the occasion.
Earlier, this day the saffron camp legislators staged a walk out from the state Assembly after discussions were not allowed on clashes during Holi at Birbhum’s Sainthia.
“Violence was carried on Dalits by jihadis in Sainthia on the day of Holy. Discussions were not allowed on the same inside the Assembly. Internet services were suspended for several days as a part of the appeasement politics,” mentioned Adhikari.
Former state president and former MP Dilip Ghosh visited the state Assembly and met with the Leader of Opposition.
Asked who is the fittest in the post of the new state president to which Ghosh said that every member of the party is fit for the post.
Slamming the saffron camp, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh said, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) doesn’t believe in ‘Roti, Kapda aur Makan’ but plays communal politics.”
