The maximum temperature declined slightly on Sunday, but it was 2.3 degrees above normal 41.3 degrees Celsius.
IMD predicted rain in Assam-Meghalaya, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha
IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at different places in Assam-Meghalaya, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha. In technical language it is called pre-monsoon rain. In Assam-Meghalaya, West Bengal (Ganges grounds), Odisha, Bihar, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and northern Karnataka, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 50-60 km per hour. Apart from this, there is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms at different places in Meghalaya, South Himalayas, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Karnataka and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Now once again the temperature is expected to cross 40. According to IMD, mercury in Delhi can reach 41 degrees on 28 April 2025.
