India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a big update on this.

According to the IMD, a new western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from January 18 and another western disturbance will become active from January 22. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of rain along with snowfall in the Western Himalayan region from today till January 22. Also, on January 21-22, it will be cloudy in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan.

Minimum temperature in northwest India may drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius

 

A cyclonic circulation is situated over the Southeast Arabian Sea off the South Kerala coast, which is likely to cause heavy to very heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry from January 18 to 20 and Kerala from January 19-20. Along with this, there may also be hailstorm along with strong storm.

The minimum mercury is in minus in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. In the next 2 days, the minimum temperature in North-West India may fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature in Gujarat will increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius. There will be no change in mercury for the next 4 days in Middle-East India and Maharashtra.

Dense fog will prevail in UP, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura till January 20, while fog alert has been issued in Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Sikkim.
