Weather News: These days the mood of the weather is constantly changing. One week of July has passed and storms, storms and heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in many states of the country. Due to continuous rains on the mountains, the mercury has come down in the plains. Due to heavy rains in many states, an alert has been issued. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the South-West Monsoon, heavy rains will continue in parts of Kerala, Goa and Gujarat today (July 7). According to IMD’s daily forecast, heavy rains will continue in parts of South India on Friday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to continue over Konkan & Goa during next two days and over Gujarat state for next five days. Heavy rainfall is most likely over West Bengal and Sikkim.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada in Karnataka. Today i.e. on Friday, the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall has been expressed in these areas. Also, Orange Alert has been issued for Saturday.

Heavy rain very likely over Tamil Nadu during last 24 hours. Several districts of Kerala were flooded following heavy rains on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert in Kannur and Kasaragod districts.

The Amarnath Yatra was suspended on Friday due to inclement weather as it rained heavily in several parts of Kashmir, officials said. No pilgrims are being allowed to head towards the holy cave shrine this morning. The yatra is expected to resume once the weather improves. According to IMD, today there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad region.
