Let us tell you that after the Pahalgam terror attack, Araghchi arrived in Islamabad on a one -day visit to interact with the Pakistani leadership amidst the increased tension between the two countries. He is also scheduled to visit India on Thursday.

Appeal to India and Pakistan to be restrained

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement that Araghchi discussed the current status of South Asia in talks with his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar and agreed that complex regional issues could be resolved only through dialogue.

Araghchi also met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed issues of bilateral interests along with regional situation. According to a statement issued by the President’s Office, during a meeting with President Zardari, Araghchi called upon both sides to take restraint to reduce tension in the area.

 

 

We will try to reduce stress: Iran

Speaking about Pakistan’s commitment to negotiations and diplomacy, Zardari said, “The situation in the region is very important for Iran and we insist on the importance of reducing stress.” We call all sides to restraint restraint and prevent the situation from deteriorating more. ‘

Both India and Pakistan are friends of Iran: Araghchi

According to Iranian media reports, after reaching Islamabad, Araghchi said, “We will try to reduce tension in the area.” Both India and Pakistan are friendly countries of Iran. Of course, Pakistan is our neighbor with whom we have friendly relations. But before coming to India, we were interested in knowing the attitude of our friends in Pakistan.

 

Ishaq Dar accused India

Isaac Dar expressed Pakistan’s deep concern over the current tension in South Asia and blamed India’s inflammatory behavior for it. Dar rejected the baseless efforts to implicate Pakistan in the case and reiterated the call of Islamabad for international, transparent and fair investigation.

According to the Iranian news agency report, Prime Minister Sharif told Araghchi that, “Pakistan is committed to strengthening cooperation with Iran for peace and stability in the region”. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif and External Affairs Minister Dar were also present during the Araghchi meeting with Prime Minister Sharif.
