India stopped the flow of Chenab river water going to Pakistan: India is continuously taking action against Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. India has stopped the flow of Chenab river water to Pakistan as part of its decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. After closing the gate of Bagihar Dam on the Chenab river yesterday, now the gates of Salal Dam have also been closed. The water level of the Chenab river flowing through Pakistan has reduced due to the stopping of this water flow. The river has dried up in many places. However, water continues to flow from the Bagalihar Hydropower Project Dam built on the Chenab River in Ramban.
Welcoming Prime Minister Modi’s decision, Amit Malviya of BJP IT cell wrote on X that strict decisions will have to be taken in politics for India’s interest. Prime Minister Modi has shown this through his actions. India has a strong and determination against terrorism. The water and blood of our citizens cannot flow together.
Chenab river water level reduced
India has closed all the gates of Salal Dam located in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, the water level of Chenab river in Reasi district has reduced. The Chenab river has dried up at many places. Now India is preparing to take similar action on the Kishanganga dam on the Jhelum River.
India’s strict action
Pahalgam is taking various steps against Pakistan after the terrorist attack in which 26 people were killed. India was the first country to ban the Indus Water Treaty. The treaty was signed by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the then Pakistani President Ayub Khan in 1960. India has ordered Pakistani citizens to return to their homeland. Several decisions have been taken, such as reducing the number of officers in the Pakistan High Commission and closing airspace.
