US President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday once again stuck to the option of military action in the Panama Canal and Greenland, saying he wants the United States to have control over both. “I can say that we need them for economic security,” the newly appointed US President told reporters.

(No military action) I am not committed. You may have to do something. This week Trump hinted that the United States could take control of the Panama Canal in the near future. When the media asked the new President of America whether military force can be used for economic gain? Trump did not rule out options then. When pressed, Trump said, “I can’t give assurances on any of these things.” Trump also criticized former US President Jimmy Carter’s decision to return control of the Panama Canal. He believes that America has been cheated in this deal.
