Team India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal was in Lucknow on Tuesday as he played for his team Punjab Kings against Lucknow Super Giants in the city. And on the same day, his rumoured girlfriend RJ Mahvash dropped a video from a Lucknow hotel, making netizens wonder if the two were together.
Mahvash took to her Instagram stories to share a video of herself chilling in the pool. “Mujhe swim karte time lagta hai main kar kar ke bohot aagey nikal gayi hu. Phir mud ke dekhti hu to usi jagah pade phach phach kar rahi hoti hu,” she captioned the video. While she did not mention the location, netizens pointed out that it was the swimming pool of Taj Mahal Hotel in Lucknow, and wondered what are the odds that she was in the city in the same time as Chahal, amid rumours of the two dating.
“They know that we know that they know we know,” a user wrote on Reddit, while another commented, “How long are they going to deny it?”
For those unversed, rumours of Chahal and Mahvash dating first surfaced after the two were spotted at a hotel together around the same time when reports of the former’s marriage with Dhanashree Verma being in rough waters had gone viral. However, Mahvash lashed out at the reports back then and stated that they were just friends.
But Chahal and Mahvash once again grabbed eyeballs when they attended the Champions Trophy finale in Dubai together.
Chahal and Dhanashree got officially divorced at the Bandra family court in Mumbai on March 20, and on that day too, the cricketer was spotted hanging out with Mahvash hours before his divorce hearing.
Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in a dreamy affair in December 2020, but as per reports, they had been living separately since June 2022. It was in December 2024 that reports of their impending divorce surfaced online.
