New Delhi: The Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in this year’s budget session. The bill was passed by majority in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, protests are taking place against it in many places across the country. Petitions were filed in the Supreme Court against this law. While hearing this, the Supreme Court has banned two sections of this law. Now Sushma Andhare, the leader of the Thackeray faction, has given her response to this.

Meanwhile, the petition filed against this law was heard today. At that time the court stayed it. Also, the central government has been directed to respond to this within the next 7 days. The court has also directed that the situation should be kept until the hearing is completed. Now Sushma Andhare of Thackeray faction has spoken on this.

What did Sushma Andhare say?

The adjournment order issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in relation to Waqf is a proof of the parliamentary democratic system. She cannot enact a law outside the constitutional structure even if Parliament has a majority. The Supreme Court has given the same indication in its order, interpreting sections 25 and 26.

What did Asaduddin Owaisi say?

The Supreme Court has just ruled on this. The Supreme Court has ordered that no appointment will be made in the Central Waqf Board and the State Waqf Board until the next hearing. We consider the Waqf Act to be unconstitutional. This is a violation of Articles 25, 26, 15 and 29. I have already said this. I say the same thing today.

What’s the matter?
The Supreme Court has banned two sections of the Waqf Act. This is being considered a major setback for the Modi government. The Supreme Court has directed the central government to respond within seven days. The next hearing on the Waqf Board Amendment Act will be held on 5 May. Opposition leaders took an aggressive stand against the Waqf Board Amendment Act. More than 70 petitions have been filed against the Waqf Board. There was a joint hearing on this.

What are the comments of the Supreme Court?

The petition filed against the Waqf Act was heard today. There are some provisions in this law. It is impossible to completely suspend this law. The Supreme Court has directed that the case should be maintained till the case is under consideration in the court.
