News India Live, Digital Desk: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has accused the Central Government of presenting wrong data in relation to Waqf properties in the Supreme Court. The board has claimed that the affidavit filed by the central government in the court is false and misleading. AIMPLB has also demanded action against the officer responsible for this affidavit.
The board has raised a serious objection to the government’s statement stating that there has been a “shocking increase” in the number of Waqf properties uploaded on the central portal since 2013. AIMPLB says that this claim is misunderstanding and hiding the real situation.
AIMPLB clarified that the government’s affidavit has made a belief that all the Waqf properties registered before 2013 were immediately uploaded on the Central WAMSI portal. The board has described this claim as “mischievous”. AIMPLB also said that the affidavit does not deliberately clarify whether all the registered assets were uploaded on the portal in 2013.
The board has said that due to lack of clarity in the affidavit, there is serious doubt on its veracity. He has demanded that action should be taken against the officer who files false affidavits.
