Mumbai: Mumbai’s iconic cricketing landmark, Wankhede Stadium, will mark its 50th anniversary through a spectacular celebration on Sunday with a unique fusion of sports and entertainment. The celebration will bring together a remarkable gathering of former and current cricket legends and will also feature soul-stirring musical performances by renowned artists.
On January 19, Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium, which has etched a special place in the hearts of Indian cricket lovers, will celebrate its golden jubilee. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which owns and operates the stadium, will organise a grand celebration to mark the 50th anniversary with a unique fusion of sports and entertainment.

The celebration will feature special live performances of renowned artists, celebrating the stadium that has witnessed countless unforgettable cricketing moments. The evening will bring together a remarkable gathering of past and present cricket legends, including Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and other iconic players, all honoring Wankhede Stadium’s incredible contribution to the sport.
The celebration will also feature soul-stirring musical performances from Avadhoot Gupte, an electrifying set by the renowned Ajay-Atul, and a mesmerizing laser show that will light up Mumbai’s skyline.
