A 35-year-old man from Walwa Islampur, Dattatray Ashok Vibhute, who was seriously injured in an accident, is now able to regain his independence with the help of RMD Foundation.
On his way home from work, Dattatray was caught in a sudden storm. Strong winds and heavy rain caused a tree to fall on him while he sought shelter under it. Although he was wearing a helmet, the accident left him with serious injuries to his lower back, resulting in disability.
Dattatray’s relatives informed Shobhatai Dhariwal, Vice President of RMD Foundation, about his condition. Concerned about his situation, Shobhatai reached out to the Automatic Electric Wheelchair Cum Cycle Company in Chennai and arranged for Dattatray to receive an automatic electric wheelchair cum cycle as a Diwali gift.
The company representative provided training on how to operate the wheelchair, and now, Dattatray can carry out his daily tasks independently. He expressed his gratitude to Shobhatai Dhariwal and the RMD Foundation for their timely support and assistance.
