In a bizarre crime in Pune, a man was allegedly beaten and the tip of his finger was bitten off by another man on March 24 in the Chikhali area of Pimpri-Chinchwad.

A case has been registered at the Chikhali Police Station under BNS 117(2), 118(1), 115(2), 352, 351(2), 3(5), against 35-year-old Prashant Ralokare and three women whose names were not specified in the complaint.

The victim, Mahadev Gadade, a 22-year-old resident of Jadhavwadi in Chikhali, stated in the FIR that he was standing and talking with his friend when the accused arrived in his Swift car with three women.

His mother was assaulted too

According to the FIR, an argument broke out, and Mahadev’s wife and sisters took the confrontation to the road, where the accused, Prashant, and the women severely beat him. In the heat of the altercation, Prashant bit Mahadev’s finger and bit off the tip. When Mahadev’s mother came to his rescue, she was also beaten with fists and kicks.

The accused also allegedly threatened the victim against going to the police. Mahadev, however, filed a complaint, which led to the registration of the case.
