Los Angeles: Many shocking visuals from Los Angeles wildfires are going viral on X, capturing firefighters in action, trees burning down a once dense forest, buildings set ablaze and abandoned vehicles crowding the road, animals being rescued and lonely and ablazed streets of once green prosperous streets of California.

What Is Currently Happening In California?

The Wildfire Status reports that six wildfires, including the Palisades fire, are 8% contained, the Kenneth fire is at 50% containment, the Hurst fire is 70% contained, the Eaton fire is anticipated to achieve substantial containment by Saturday afternoon, according to sources, the Lidia fire is 98% contained, and finally, the Archer fire remains at 0% containment.

California’s firefighting department is engaged in combating the fires. Nonetheless, water hydrants have become dry or discharged water at low pressure, obstructing efforts. Kristin Crowley, chief of the fire department, condemned the city administration for insufficient or nonexistent water supply.

At least 11 individuals have allegedly lost their lives because of wildfires. Officials anticipate an increase in the number as additional regions are deemed secure for searchers to find victims.

Outgoing US President Joe Biden is posting updates on social media about the California wildfires. California Governor Gavin Newsom said over 12,000 personnel are deployed to fight the fire.

More than 1,000 fire engines, 150 water tenders, 120 dozers, and 60 aircraft are assisting the firefighting effort.

California Fire cautioned individuals against flying drones close to wildfires, as it is prohibited and endangers lives. A firefighting plane collided with a drone at Palisades, temporarily halting efforts to combat the blaze.
