Ranji Trophy, Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli, the star batsman of the Indian cricket team, landed on the field to play Ranji Trophy after nearly 13 years. Kohli was playing for Delhi in this tournament. In the match at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi defeated the railway team by an innings and 19 runs.

After winning the toss, the railway team came out to bat first and scored 241 runs in the first innings. Wicketkeeper and batsman Upendra Yadav scored the highest 95 runs and Karn Sharma scored 50 runs. Navdeep Saini and Sumit Mathur took three wickets for Delhi. While Siddhant Sharma and Mani Grewal took two wickets each.

Delhi won by 19 runs

In response, Delhi scored 374 runs in the first innings. Captain Ayush Badoni scored the most 99 runs. While Sumit Mathur played a brilliant innings of 86 runs. Himanshu Sangwan took four wickets and Krunal Yadav took three wickets from the railway. On the basis of the first innings, Delhi had a lead of 133 runs. After this, the railway batsmen performed disappointing in the second innings. The entire team of Railways was dismissed for 114 runs in the second innings. Ayan Chaudhary (30 runs) and Mohammad Saif (31 runs) managed to do so. Left -arm spinner Shivam Sharma dismissed five Delhi batsmen. While Mani Grewal, Navdeep Singh, Siddhant Sharma and Ayush Badoni took one wicket each.

Virat Kohli did not get a chance to bat for the second time due to the victory of Delhi team. Let us tell you here that Kohli was able to score only 6 runs in Delhi’s first innings. Himanshu Sangwan of Railways made him a clean bold. He hit only one four in this innings.
