Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli and Delhi Capitals keeper-batter KL Rahul were seen having a heated conversation during the IPL 2025 game on Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. A video of the same surfaced on social media as Kohli in particular was using plenty of hand gestures to communicate something.
It was unclear what the conversation was about but Rahul seemed to have mentioned something about the umpire’s decision and Kohli was clearly irked by it. However, the right-handed batter, who was key in the run-chase went back to his mark immediately to concentrate on the job at hand.

Rajat Patidar had won the toss and opted to field first
The toss at the Arun Jaitley Stadium went in favour of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Rajat Patidar and he opted to bowl first against the Delhi Capitals. Both sides announced one change, with Jacob Bethell debuting in IPL in place of Phil Salt, who is down with fever. Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis has returned for the Capitals and is likely to open the innings.
DC playing XI: Faf du Plessis, Abishek Porel, Karun Nair, KL Rahul (wk), Axar Patel (c), Tristan Stubbs, Vipraj Nigam, Mitchell Starc, Dushmantha Chameera, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar.
RCB playing XI: Virat Kohli, Jacob Bethell, Rajat Patidar (c), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Suyash Sharma, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal.
The Royal Challengers were left to chase 163 after Patidar and co. restricted the Capitals to 162/8. On a slow pitch, no top-order batter could find the rhythm they were looking for and Tristan Stubbs’ death-overs impetus gave the hosts a competitive total.
