The fans felt that both the legends would retire from the ODI format after the win, but nothing like this happened. Although the former captain i.e. Virat has not clarified this, but in the statements given after the victory, he has made his intention about retirement.

Kohli further said that the team is ready to face the world. Kohli said that when you leave the team, you want to leave the team in better position. I think we have a team that is ready to compete with the world for the next eight years. Shubman has performed brilliantly. Shreyas has played some of the best innings. KL finished the match for us and Hardik performed brilliantly with the bat.
