After Virat Kohli’s dismissal in the IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans, some of his fans mistakenly targeted Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi on Instagram. Kohli was out for just seven runs, dismissed by GT’s Arshad Khan. However, some confused fans went to Arshad Warsi’s Instagram and left hateful messages on his five-day-old post about actor Ajay Devgn.

One of the social media users threatened him saying, “Dekh lunga terko (I will see you),” while most others posted: “Kohli ko out kyu kia (why did you dismiss Kohli)” with angry emoticons. Another fan joined the bandwagon, saying: “Ee Circuit, tu Kohli ka wicket kyun liya re?” referring to his iconic character from the Bollywood blockbuster Munna Bhai MBBS.

This incident marks another case of Kohli’s fans making a mix-up. Earlier, during the Champions Trophy, a similar mistake occurred when New Zealand cricketer Glenn Phillips was wrongly blamed after taking a stunning catch, and even the Philips brand was targeted.

Titans end RCB’s unbeaten run in IPL 2025

Gujarat Titans handed RCB their first loss in the season after securing an eight-wicket win in Bengaluru, courtesy of Mohammed Siraj’s three-wicket haul and a fine half century by Jos Buttler.

RCB batting first posted 169/8 courtesy Liam Livingstone’s battling 54 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Having reached his fifty with a six off Livingstone in the 15th over, Buttler produced some audacious shots. Gujarat got home with 13 deliveries to spare with Buttler scoring an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls after Sai Sudharsan made 49.

The victory is a significant one for GT, who have been looking to build momentum in the tournament. With this win, they remain fourth in the IPL 2025 standings, while RCB suffer their first loss of the season as a result of which they dropped down to third spot on the points table.
