Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli penned down a note condemning the horrific Pahalgam Terror Attack. In a deeply emotional Instagram Story, Kohli wrote, “Deeply saddened by the heinous attack in Pahalgam on innocent people. Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Praying for peace and strength to families of all those who lost their lives and justice to be served for this cruel act.”

Besides Kohli, current and former Indian cricketers have condemned the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday. Terrorists opened fire at a famed meadow near Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least 26 people, mostly tourists, in what appears to be the deadliest attack in the Kashmir valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019.
Latest update on the Pahalgam terrorist attack
Eyewitness accounts suggest that six armed terrorists, disguised in Army uniforms, singled out victims based on their faith. The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army also confirmed that the manhunt continues with “all efforts focused on justice.”
The attack is suspected to have been orchestrated by a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative, Saifullah Kasuri, also known by his alias Khalid, as per reports. Intelligence officials have identified him as the key planner behind the ambush that targeted unsuspecting tourists at the popular Baisaran meadow. The assault has triggered national mourning and calls for swift action against those responsible.
Security agencies believe Kasuri is a high-ranking LeT commander who operated under the direct patronage of the group’s founder Hafiz Saeed. According to reports, the attack bore the hallmarks of a well-coordinated plan, executed with support from handlers based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
