A video of aspiring actress Monalisa, who went viral during the Maha Kumbh Mela, has surfaced online in which she can be seen crying inconsolably while being surrounded by her family members. The video comes amid the arrest of filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who was set to launch Monalisa into films and was even giving her acting lessons.
In the video which is now splashed all over the internet, Monalisa can be seen breaking down and crying inconsolably as members of her family hugged her and put garlands around her. A member of her family can also be seen wiping her tears, as she continued to sob.
While the exact reason behind her meltdown is not known, netizens wondered if it was because of Sanoj Mishra’s arrest in the rape case.
For those unversed, Mishra was arrested in Delhi on Monday after he was accused of raping an aspiring actress multiple times under the pretext of giving her roles in movies and marrying her. The victim told the cops that he even recorded her obscene videos and threatened to leak them in public if she tried to protest.
Monalisa took the internet by storm earlier this year after she was spotted selling beads and flowers at the Maha Kumbh Mela. She was dubbed as an ethereal beauty and people captured her photos and videos, making her a national sensation.
Reports then surfaced that Monalisa had bagged a film, and few days later, Mishra announced that he is set to cast her in his next film, titled The Diary of Manipur. If reports are to be believed, Mishra was also giving acting lessons to Monalisa.
