While you might have come across many reels showing these Sadhus meditating, chanting, or blessing devotees, this recent video claims to show Maha Kumbh Babas enjoying a cricket match in their free time.
A video posted on X showed Babas engaged in a cricket match along with locals. It was suggested that the Babas seen in the clip were none other than those at Maha Kumbh 2025.

An X user named Jitendra Pratap Singh uploaded the video online with the caption, “Babas playing cricket in their free time during Maha Kumbh”.
The footage opened by showing a saffron dhoti-clad Baba on strike during the cricket match between Sadhus and the lay people of Prayagraj. The visuals showed the Sadhus in action as the crowd cheers them loudly. Youths are seen recording the game on camera.
Netizens react to viral video
The X video has received widespread attention. It has crossed 3,000 on the social media platform and attracted a few comments. Netizens appreciated the clip and believed it to be one of the most beautiful reels they saw today. People were seen captioning this match in their words. While one called it “Baba XI vs Prayagraj”, other wrote, “This is Maha Kumbh Naga League”.

According to reports, Naga Sadhus saw a ceremonial farewell after the conclusion of the last Amrit Snan on Basant Panchami. They are set to leave Maha Kumbh and travel to Kashi. The grand gathering opened its doors on February 13 and will continue till Maha Shivratri on February 26.
