Delhi Capitals’ Vipraj Nigam took an outstanding catch to get rid of Heinrich Klaasen in a key moment of the IPL 2025 match against the SunRisers Hyderabad in Vishakhapatnam. With the ball swirling around, it seemed like the youngster would struggle to pouch it but held on, leaving event the commentators speechless.

The dismissal occurred in the 11th over of the innings sent down by Mohit Sharma. With the right-arm seamer sending down a slower delivery, Klaasen went for the slog but it came off the outside half of the bat and skewed towards point. The spin-bowling all-rounder was running back and didn’t look settled but took the catch with relative ease. It ended the South African batter’s innings at 32 off 19 deliveries and the partnership with Aniket Verma of 114.

Pat Cummins had won the toss and opted to bat first

Earlier, SunRisers skipper Pat Cummins had won the toss and opted to bat first, citing the warm temperature and expecting the pitch to assist spinners later.
