M.pur violence: Violence has once again erupted in M.pur. In Imphal on Saturday, protesters attacked the residences of two ministers and three MLAs and demanded justice for the killing of three people in Jiribam district.

Following the mob attack on the houses of the MLAs, the Imphal West administration has imposed indefinite curfew in the district. Curfew was imposed from 4.30 pm on Saturday as per the order given by Imphal West District Magistrate T Kirankumar.

A senior official said that the mob attacked the residence of Health and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan in Lamphel Sanakethal area.

Lamphel Sanakethel Development Authority representative David said that SPAM has assured us that the issue related to the killing of three people will be discussed in the cabinet meeting and if the government fails to respect the sentiments of the people then the minister will resign.

Another senior official said the protesters also attacked the residence of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Minister L Susindro Singh.

Protestors gathered in front of the residence of BJP MLA Imo in Sagolband area of ​​Imphal West district and raised slogans. Imo is also the son-in-law of Chief Minister N Biren Singh. He has demanded the government to take action against the murder of three people and arrest the culprits within 24 hours.
