Movement demanding MSP law

Farmers have been demanding legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for a long time. Even before this, the central government had to withdraw three controversial agricultural laws, which could not be implemented due to farmers’ protests. In the past years, farmers from Punjab and other states have also been protesting on the borders of Delhi.

  • Emergency services will continue: Movement of people will be allowed in situations like health emergency.

According to the Kisan Mahapanchayat, this step will be taken in a peaceful manner and the villagers will fight for their rights in a peaceful manner.

Village bandh movement for the first time in Rajasthan

National President of Kisan Mahapanchayat Rampal Jat said that this will be the first village bandh movement of its kind in Rajasthan. This movement is being considered a decisive step for the farmers.

  • Pledge will be taken from every house: People from every village will participate in this movement and fill pledge papers from their respective homes.
  • Shops will remain open in the village: However, shops and essential services will remain operational in the village, but entry of outsiders will be restricted.
  • Trade off of local products: Selling village products outside will be completely prohibited. If a person wants to buy, he will have to come to the village itself and buy the product.

45537 villages will join the movement

This movement will be implemented in 45,537 villages of Rajasthan, in which lakhs of farmers will participate.

  • During this period there will be no outside interference in the village.
  • The movement will be completely peaceful and orderly.

This movement will be an important effort to force the government to take the demands of farmers seriously and provide legal guarantee of MSP.
