Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Vikramotsav-2025 will begin in Ujjain on Mahashivratri day, February 26, said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday. Mahashivratri fairs will also be held across the state. The CM was addressing the meeting of the organising committee of Vikramotsav-2025 at his official residence.
Vikramotsav-2025 will continue till March 30. Starting February 27, an exhibition will be held on Arsha Indian Rishi Scientific Tradition, Vikram period currency and stamps, 64 arts of Shri Krishna (in Chitravan style of Malwa), Shri Krishna Holi festival, Chaurasi Mahadev, tribal patterns, emperor exhibitions, Vikramaditya, Ayodhya, ancient Indian musical instruments, Devi 108 Swaroop and Devi Ahilya.
There will also be a research seminar on the Shaiva tradition, and Vastu-Vigyan, Samvat tradition in India-Specialty and Evidence. Violinist Anupriya Devtale will also perform on the occasion. Between March 1 and 3, there will be a discussion on the subject of ‘Justice of Emperor Vikramaditya’.
On March 8, there will be an All-India Kavi Sammelan of dialects in Lok Ranjan. An international history conclave will be held from March 10 to March 12 at the Vikramotsav. From March 15 to March 16, a seminar on Samhita Jyotish and Acharya Varah Mihir will be held. While a Mandana camp will be held daily, Mahadev Shilpkala Workshop will begin on March 21.
From March 21 to March 25, an International Festival of Mythological Films will screen films focused on tribal culture. Between March 21 and 29, Vikram NatyaSamaroh, and Veda Antakshari will be held. March 22 will see another All-India Kavi Sammelanand National Science Conference. The Science Festival will be held between March 26 and March 28. On the final day, March 30, Nava Samvatsara will be celebrated with Surya Pooja, and Ujjaini Gaurav Day.
