India trying to bring back economic offenders: Tahawwur Hussain Rana was convicted for his role in the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. The US Supreme Court has allowed the extradition of Mumbai attack convict Tahawwur Rana to India. With this decision, the way has been cleared for India to bring justice to this terrorist leader.
Apart from this, India is trying to bring back many other criminals. All these people have fled to India to escape the law. Last month, the government said that one-third of all these fugitive criminals were hiding in the US, which is now considered a safe haven for criminals and terrorists.
Tahawwur Hussain Rana
Rana is a Canadian businessman of Pakistani origin. He is wanted in India for his role in the Mumbai attacks. More than 160 people were killed in this attack. He has also been a doctor in the Pakistani Army. He had prior knowledge of the 2008 attack. He was arrested in Denmark in 2009 on charges of terrorist conspiracy. The US Supreme Court has now allowed his extradition.
Arsh Dalla
Khalistan terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla is the chief of the banned organization Khalistan Tiger Force. He is in Canada these days. He is wanted in more than 50 cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion and terrorist incidents in India. India is trying to bring him back, but he got bail in December.
Anmol Bishnoi
Anmol Bishnoi is the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He is wanted in several high-profile cases in India. He is also believed to be involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and politician Baba Siddiqui. In November 2023, he was arrested in America with illegal documents, but Delhi has not expressed any possibility of extradition.

Nirav Modi

Nirav Modi was arrested in London in 2018 and is currently in a British jail. All his pleas against extradition to India have yielded no results so far. While Mehul Choksi is currently in Antigua.

Sanjay Bhandari is accused of tax evasion and money laundering. Mahadev betting app promoter Saurabh Chandrakar is also fighting extradition on money laundering charges after his arrest in Dubai in 2023.
