Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda were spotted enjoying a lunch date in Mumbai on Sunday as the former’s mega film Sikandar released in theatres. But as they arrived for the date, Vijay was seen entering from the back of the restaurant and hiding his face to avoid the paparazzi.
A video of the lovebirds has now gone viral in which Rashmika can be first seen reaching the restaurant, and though she tried to evade the paps wearing a mask and cap, the photographers instantly recognised her, and coaxed her to take her mask off. However, she did not stop to pose and instead, bade a quick goodbye before rushing inside the eatery.
And moments later, Vijay was seen entering the restaurant from the back, with his face completely covered with a mask and a beanie. He made sure to not look at the cameras as he made his way inside the eatery to his lady love.
Rashmika and Vijay have been in a relationship for quite some time now, and it was in 2023 that the rumours of the two dating surfaced online after they were spotted holidaying together in the Maldives.
While the two have not officially confirmed their relationship, they have dropped enough hints to affirm the buzz. Earlier, at a pre-release event of Pushpa 2 in Chennai, Rashmika was asked if the man she wanted to marry was from the film industry, to which she replied, “Everyone knows about it,” without naming Vijay.
Recently, Vijay also confirmed that he was dating someone. In a conversation with Curly Tales, he said, “I am 35 years old; you think I will be single?”
On the work front, Rashmika’s first film with superstar Salman Khan released in theatres on Sunday (March 30), on the occasion of Eid, however, if the early internet reviews are to go by, the film has failed to impress the masses.
On the other hand, Vijay is busy with the shoot of his next, titled Kingdom, which is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
