Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has been raining continuously since Thursday (27 February) , Heavy snowfall in high altitude areas has stalled life. There has been continuous rains in the low -lying areas. However, due to heavy snowfall in the height areas, Gangotri Dham, Gomukh, Bid Vasa, Bhoj Vasa, Kanku Liberal, Bhairo Jhap and Kedar Ganga region have been completely wrapped in white sheets.
Snowfall breaking records in Gangotri Dham
This time there is a record breaking snowfall in Gangotri Dham. More than four feet of snow is frozen around the main temple. However, snowfall has just started. The roof of the temple and the surrounding area is also covered with snow sheet. Due to which the scene of the entire temple looks very captivating. However, the situation there is very serious. If snowfall continues in this way, snowfall may increase in the coming hours. This can increase the load on temples and other structures.
Many areas got out of reach.
Many areas of Uttarkashi have been out of reach due to continuous snowfall. Gomukh, Bird Vasa, Bhoj Vasa, Kanku, Liberal, Bhairo Jhap and Kedar Ganga region are completely covered with snow.
Meteorological forecast
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that the weather will be bad for the next few days. Apart from this, people have been advised to be careful. The administration has instructed local people and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel and stay in safe places.
