Albania PM gifts scarf to Italy PM Meloni: You might have seen a boy in films sitting on his knees singing a song and giving a gift to a girl, but have you ever seen a PM doing this for the PM of another country? Albanian PM Edi Rama did the same on Wednesday when he gifted a scarf to Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. Eddie Rama got down on his knees for Maloney and even sang for him. An interesting incident happened in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, when it was Maloney’s birthday. At present, heads of many countries have come to participate in the World Future Energy Summit.
They sang and congratulated on their knees
At the conference, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama gave special congratulations to Georgia Maloney on her 48th birthday. Seeing Maloney coming, Edi Rama got down on his knees and gave him the gift with both hands. Seeing Edi Ram sitting in front of her, Meloni quickly moved towards him and accepted the gift. Tanti Aguri i.e. Happy Birthday Song was also sung to wish Maloney on her birthday. Then Eddie Rama gifted a scarf to Maloney and made Maloney wear the scarf with his own hands.
Rama and Meloni have a good working relationship
Ram and Maloney have diametrically opposite political beliefs. However, they have a good working relationship. Meloni leads Italy’s right-wing Brothers party. So Rama is the head of the Socialist Party of Albania. Maloney reached an agreement with Rama last year. Under this, some migrants caught by Italy by sea will be sent to detention centers in Albania. These centers are currently inactive due to legal challenges.
At a summit on Wednesday, Italy, Albania and the United Arab Emirates signed a €1 billion (Rs 8895 crore) deal to build an undersea interconnection for renewable energy in the Adriatic Sea.
