Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna is still doing a decent business at the box office. While nowadays films are out from the theatres within five days of its release, Chhaava has sustained for more than 50 days. According to Sacnilk, on its eighth Sunday, day 52, the Laxman Utekar’s directorial collected Rs. 1.25 crore. So, the total collection of the film to date is Rs. 598.45 crore. The movie is already a blockbuster but it has now achieved one more feat. Chhaava has become the second highest-grossing Hindi film by surpassing the lifetime collection of Stree 2.
According to Sacnilk, Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 had collected Rs. 597.99 crore and it was the second highest-grossing Hindi film. At the first spot, we have Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan which had collected Rs. 640.25 crore. However, now Chhaava has beaten Stree 2. Interestingly, both the movies are produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.
It was expected that maybe Chhaava won’t be able to surpass Stree 2. However, the film slowly and steadily continued its good run at the ticket windows and collected this huge number. Well, now it looks like the movie will easily cross the Rs. 600 crore mark at the box office. But, it will be interesting to see whether it will be able to collect more Rs. 41.80 crore to beat Jawan or not.
Chhaava OTT Release Date
Meanwhile, Chhaava is gearing up for its OTT release as well. Reportedly, the Vicky Kaushal starrer premieres on Netflix on April 11, 2025. It will be interesting to see whether even after its OTT release the movie will continue to have a good run at the box office or not.
