Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent controversy is currently a hot topic, with many reacting to it—AR Rahman being no exception. Earlier today (February 12, 2025) Rahman, who created the music for Chhaava, attended the film’s grand music launch in Mumbai, joined by Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna.

At the event, Vicky Kaushal asked AR Rahman to describe his music in three emojis, to this, the latter said, “the one with the mouth closed”. Futher, he added jokingly, “I think, past week we have seen what all happens when the mouth opens.” His indirect dig at the Latent left Vicky and others at the event in splits. Reacting to Rahman’s remark, Kaushal laughed and said, “Talk about roasting.”

Earlier today, Samay broke his silence on the Latent controversy, announcing that he has decided to delete all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel amid growing backlash.

He said, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”

Take a look at it:

Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia also issued an apology for asking a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have s every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” on the show, a remark that sparked widespread backlash.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) will be questioning Ranveer, Samay, and others in regard to the controversy surrounding the India’s Got Latent show.
