Bikaner, 28 November (HS). There was a massive collision between a truck and a tanker late on Wednesday night on Bharatmala Road of Lunkaransar police station area in the district. Two people died in the accident.

According to the information, the truck rammed into a tanker parked between Bharatmala Road, Sahagrasar and Dh. Bhopala. In which 35-year-old Iqbal Khan, son of Tej Mohammad, resident of Sayla tehsil, Jalore and truck driver Tagaram, son of Jetharam Mund, resident of Balotra, died. While his comp.ons 30 year old Nibab Khan son of Alam Khan, Razak son of Jalam Khan and one other were injured. Nibab’s leg was crushed.

The injured were referred to PBM Hospital. According to the information, four persons including the deceased, residents of Jalore, had come here to eat food at the dhaba. After having food, all four were examining the rear part of the tanker. Just then the truck came inside. Iqbal was in the middle, he died on the spot. Nibab’s foot came under the wheel. The other two suffered minor injuries. The truck driver Tagaram got badly stuck in the steering part. His leg got separated. The stomach was seriously damaged. His condition was initially said to be critical but later he died.

The truck was full of onions. The speed was also fast. The tanker there was of oil. It is noteworthy that despite the information about the accident, the ambulance and toll staff arrived quite late. By the time they arrived, the Tiger Force had already made a round of the hospital. It took about one and a half hour of effort to get Tagaram out.
