The quarterfinals of the Western India Squash Tournament delivered a day filled with exhilarating rallies, upsets, and masterclass performances. Players gave it their all, pushing boundaries in their quest for a coveted spot in the semifinals.

The men’s category quarterfinals of the Western India Squash Tournament saw electrifying matches on Friday that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Top seed Vikor Byrtus (CZE) continued his dominance, dispatching Wailok To (KHG) in straight games with scores of 11-6, 11-3, 11-5. His consistent play and sharp shot-making solidified his status as the favourite.

Indian Star Player Veer Chotrani scored the biggest upset of the day came when he toppled the third seed, Ravindu Laksiri (SRI) in a dramatic four-game thriller (11-7, 10-12, 11-9, 11-4). With exceptional endurance and precise execution under pressure, Chotrani proved why squash is a game of grit as much as skill.
