Mira Bhayandar: Hemali Gopal Karpe, a well-known Ayurvedacharya Vaidya from Vasai bagged this year’s coveted “AYURCON – Ayurveda Excellence Award which is presented to young ayurvedic practitioners who make significant contributions to the advancement and awareness of traditional Indian medicines.
The award was presented at the AYURCON 2025- a state level National Ayurveda Conference which was held at Srirampur in Ahilya Nagar district of Maharashtra on 12, January. Karpe was honoured with this award for her exemplary medical services and her efforts to spread knowledge of Ayurveda while skilfully integrating ancient therapies with modern healthcare needs.
With 17-18 years of experience, Vaidya Karpe is actively associated with organizations like Prabha Ayurveda Foundation Maharashtra, Maharashtra Ayurveda Sammelan, and the Vasai Taluka Ayurveda Graduate Welfare Association which have been tirelessly promoting and propagating Ayurveda.
“This recognition holds immense value for me as Ayurveda has always been an integral part of my life. Countless patients have benefited from Ayurvedic treatments, and this mission will continue in the future. Moreover, this award reflects the collective support from everyone who has been a part of my journey.” said Karpe who operates two clinics under the name “Ayursai Ayurvedic Panchakarma Chikitsalaya” in the eastern and western regions of Vasai.
While Vaidya Dnyaneshwar Machhindra Mitke and Vaidya Ganesh Mahadev Jadhav were the other two recipients of the excellence award, along with Karpe, the Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed upon Vaidya Harish Kumar B. Singh – a senior Ayurvedic practitioner for dedicating his life to Ayurveda.
The conference was enriched with lectures by eminent personalities including- Prof. Dr.Rakesh Sharma (President, Board of Ethics and Registration for Indian Systems of Medicine), Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Vaidya Praveen Joshi, Vaidya Harish Kumar Verma, and Vaidya Manoj Deshpande.
The Maharashtra Ayurveda Sammelan is a state-level branch of the Akhil Bharatiya Ayurveda Mahasammelan , a national organization dedicated to the promotion of Ayurveda.
