Mumbai-A 22-year-old youth died after coming in contact with the broken power line of Mahavitaran in Vasai-West. The incident took place at around 7.30 am on Saturday morning. This young man went to the farm to take fodder for cattle. This incident happened because the electric conductor was broken at that place. The deceased youth, 22 -year -old Suraj Kumar, went to Vasai’s fields to collect fodder according to his routine. The power line of Mahavitaran was broken in the field and electricity continued to flow from there. Meanwhile, while collecting fodder, the sun came in contact with the electric wire and he suffered a strong shock and died. In this case, Vasai police reached the spot and after taking Panchnama, took the body and sent it for postmortem. Senior Police Inspector Balakrishna Gadigaonkar of Vasai Police Station said that the process of registering more cases is going on. Employees and officers of Mahavitaran have been called to the spot.
After this incident, the negligence of Mahavitaran has once again been exposed. Even before this, there have been incidents of death due to electric shock in various areas of Vasai and Virar. This incident has once again raised the issue of Mahavitaran’s power transmission lines.
