Varanasi, 07 July (Hindustan Times). In Maheshpur of Manduwadih police station area, the truck ran over a laborer who was sleeping on the side of GT road under construction. The laborer died on the spot. Angered by the accident, the regional people created a ruckus. On information, the regional police also reached there. After pacifying the people, the police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem on Friday.
Sikandar Rajbhar alias Bhim (27), a resident of Shivdaspur Sindhuria Colony of the area, used to work as a puller in Maheshpur Transport area. On Thursday night Bhim was very tired after unloading the goods from the truck. To relieve fatigue, he slept on the six lane road of GT Road under construction. Late at night when the driver of a truck parked on the road backed the vehicle to bring it on the main road, Bhima, who was sleeping on the roadside, caught fire. He died on the spot. After the accident, the truck driver fled with the truck. When people saw the bloodied dead body of Palledar, they got angry and started creating ruckus. On the information of the accident, the wife and other relatives of the deceased laborer reached the spot crying.
Regional people told that Palledar Bhim was married only four years back. About a month and a half ago, the laborer’s mother Dhanni Devi also became a resident of Golok. In the family, Bhima along with his father Shankar Rajbhar worked hard to support his wife Jyoti Rajbhar and other family members. Due to the death of Bhima, the family members are in bad condition by crying.
