Varanasi, 21 October (H.C.). On Monday, a woman was burnt alive in a fierce fire with a sudden explosion while cutting the CNG gas cylinder with a cutter at a junk warehouse in Taktapur in Cantt police station area. This caused chaos there. On the information, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. After extinguishing the fire, the police took the body of the woman and sent it for postmortem.

In Taktapur, near the gas godown of a company, Golabazar is a junk warehouse of Pankaj Thathra, a resident of Baragaon. In the afternoon, Pramod Thathra was cutting the CNG gas cylinder found in the junk with his employee flood. As soon as both of them started cutting the gas tank, suddenly the gas present in it caught fire. As soon as the fire broke out, the cutters and cylinders were missed from both of them. Both ran out to save their lives. Meanwhile, the fire took a fierce form with a sharp explosion. Pankaj Thathra’s mother Phoola Devi came in its grip. Fula Devi stuck in a fireball and started burning while screaming. In view of the fierce fire, no one could show the courage to save the woman. On seeing this, the bloated burnt alive. On receiving the information, the team of Allakai police and fire brigade reached the spot and after hard work, the fire was controlled. Till then, the people of the locality remained hanging because there is also a gas warehouse nearby. It would be difficult to control it when there was a fire. The Cantt police is investigating the case.
