Where earlier there was stone pelting, now people can roam without any fear… Lal Chowk, where the tricolor was scared, is now waving the tricolor gracefully. This is the same Kashmir where there was no connection with development. But now there is development in Kashmir. An example of this can be seen in the Vande Bharat train. Yes, now Vande Bharat trains will be seen running in the litigants of Kashmir.

272 km long railway project

The first Vande Bharat train is going to start in the litigants of Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the newly launched Jammu-Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express on 19 April. Due to which the 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway connectivity project will be completed. Giving information about the train, officials said that in the beginning it will be run only from Katra as the work of repair and renovation is going on at Jammu railway station. Once it is ready, it will be operated from Jammu.

Tourism sector will develop.

According to railway officials, the Railway Safety Commissioner has approved the train service between Katra and Kashmir. With the commencement of this railway service, travel time between Jammu and Srinagar will also be reduced considerably. Not only this, with the introduction of modern rail services like Vande India, the tourism sector will also develop.

Prime Minister Modi will go to Udhampur

Talking to reporters about this, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that PM Modi will reach Udhampur on 19 April. He will visit the world’s highest railway bridge and inaugurate it. After this, he will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Katra. With the green signal by Prime Minister Modi, the long -standing demand for the direct rail facility of the people of Kashmir will also be fulfilled. Currently, trains run between Sangaldan and Baramullah and from Katra to the rest of the country in the Kashmir Valley.

Longest tunnel

Officials said the ambitious project to connect Kashmir by rail started in 1997 but delayed its completion due to geological, geographical and meteorological challenges. The project consists of 38 tunnels with a total length of 119 km, the longest tunnel of which is T-49 which is 12.75 km long. It is also the longest transport tunnel in the country. The project also includes 927 bridges with a total length of 13 km. It also includes the iconic Chenab bridge, which has a total length of 1315 meters. It has an extension of 467 meters and is 359 meters above the river floor. This bridge, 35 meters high from Eiffel Tower, will be the world’s highest arched railway bridge.
