Vande Bharat Express: To reduce the extra rush of passengers during the festival season, Railways had started semi-high speed train Vande Bharat between Delhi and Patna. Vande Bharat train running between Delhi and Patna is currently the longest running Vande Bharat Express train in the country.
New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express train is running with full capacity since its inception. Earlier it was decided that train number 02252/02251 New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express special train will make 4 trips till November 6.
Later the operation of this train was extended till 20 November. However, now this state-of-the-art train will make 2 more trips till 5th December. During the extended period, this train will depart from New Delhi Railway Station on 1st and 4th December. On return journey, it will leave from Patna Junction on 2nd and 5th December.
New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express Special train covers distance of 1000 kilometers in 11:35 hrs. It is the second fastest train on this route after New Delhi–Rajendra Nagar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani Express, which covers the same distance in 11:30 hours. The train will stop at five stations on the way. These stations are Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar and Arrah Junction.
New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi at 08:25 am and reach Patna Junction at 8 pm. In return, this train will leave from Patna Junction at 7 pm the next day and reach Delhi at 07:30 am the next day.
There are 8 coaches in the New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express special train. It has the facility of AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. To travel in an AC chair car, a passenger will have to pay Rs 2575, while the fare for an executive chair car between New Delhi to Patna is Rs 4655.
