Prayagraj, 21 November (H.C.). For the first time under the joint aegis of Dr. Preeti Hospital in Rotary Club and Jhunsi, a free camp was organized for the overall treatment of cervical cancer. Under this, 150 girls were vaccinated at Preeti Hospital and 117 girls at Ashutosh Memorial School.

After inaugurating the camp, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani praised Rotary Club, Dr. Preeti Hospital and Ashutosh Memorial School for this campaign and said that such public interest work is our social responsibility. Everyone should come forward in the work related to social service.

In the vaccination campaign held on Thursday, 267 girls aged 9 years to 18 years were vaccinated free of cost. The girls were vaccinated in the presence of Dr. Sangeeta Lodha, Maharashtra Rotary District. Detric Governor Paritosh Bajaj and Pankaj Jain were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Preeti Tripathi said that under this campaign, people who have symptoms of cervical cancer in the Angle phase or women who do not know that the symptoms inside them are of cervical cancer, along with making them aware of them, free HPV blood test will be done for them from 22 to 30 November, the price of this investigation is around Rs 1350. This investigation will be done free of cost by the path -hatch lab.

He further informed that in the next phase, a free colposcopy test will be done by Dr. Preeti Tripathi from 1 to 7 December, Dr. Preeti Tripathi, a free colposcopy test to check cervical cancer, the price of this test is Rs 2000. After this, in the next phase from 8 to 15 December, AIIMS expert Dr. Rahul Gupta, oncologist and Dr. Preeti Tripathi will undergo cryo surgery to treat women who will be found to be signs of cervical cancer.

Rotarian Dr. Amit Tripathi said that for the first time in Prayagraj, the entire drive of prevention of cervical cancer, investigation and treatment is being started with the joint effort of Rotary Prayagraj and Dr. Preeti Hospital. This is so serious because more than 75 lakh women are suffering from cervical cancer every month. India is also ahead in most cases of cervical cancer worldwide. Applying cervical cancer vaccine at the age of 9 to 18 years can prevent it. Because this cancer takes the form of cancer 20 years after coming in contact with HPV virus in the body. He informed that Dr. Girish Pandey, director of Ashutosh Memorial School, has launched awareness campaign by visiting many underprivileged schools under this campaign. Rotarian Pinky Mukherjee thanked the guests present on the spot.
