Dehradun, 29 November (HS). Uttarakhand has the honor of hosting the upcoming National Games 2025. This is a historic opportunity for the state not only in the field of sports, but also from the point of view of tourism and economic development. The National Sports Secretariat Uttarakhand says that they will work with the IOA and the Central Government to ensure that the event meets all standards. The state’s priority will be to provide the best experience to the players and spectators for this event. While giving formal information in this regard, Additional Chief Executive Officer of National Sports Secretariat, Uttarakhand, Prashant Arya said that Uttarakhand will org.ze these games from 28 January 2025 to 14 February 2025. He said that it is an honor for the state to select Uttarakhand for this event by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). For this, Uttarakhand Government, Sports Ministry and various stakeholders are working together to finalize the preparations.
The state government has already stepped up preparations at Maharana Pratap Sports College campus, Raipur and other places to org.ze the games. Sports complexes equipped with modern facilities, athletes’ residences and other infrastructure are being prepared at the highest level.
Coordination with Sports Ministry and other departments
Prashant Arya in his official statement mentioned that as per the instructions of the Indian Olympic Association, all the departments are working together to completely prepare the state for hosting. In a letter sent through mail, the state government informed the IOA about its preparations and also expressed gratitude for their cooperation.
